Dia Mundial da Água é celebrado no 1º Simpósio Paraibano de Recursos Hídricos
O Dia Mundial da Água foi celebrado na tarde desta quarta-feira (22) no 1º Simpósio Paraibano de Recursos Hídricos: Semana em Defesa da Água. O evento, organizado pelo Governo do Estado, por meio da Agência Executiva de Gestão das Águas da Paraíba (Aesa), está sendo realizado no auditório da Associação de Plantadores de Cana da Paraíba (Asplan), em João Pessoa, até a sexta-feira (24).
O simpósio segue a temática escolhida pela Organização das Nações Unidas (ONU) para a comemorar a data, “Acelerando Mudanças: Seja a mudança que você quer ver no mundo”. Para o diretor-presidente da Aesa, Porfírio Loureiro, educação e capacitação são fundamentais para implementar melhorias na gestão e preservação das águas.
“Este simpósio é mais um momento importantíssimo para discutir a água, a gestão, os benefícios, como preservá-la. Este debate é fundamental para fazermos as mudanças que precisamos, tendo a educação como base. Serão três dias de debates, inclusive com a participação de várias universidades. A academia é nossa parceira na gestão e na capacitação dos servidores”, destacou Porfírio na abertura do evento. “Estudar, debater e transformar este conhecimento em ação, deixando algo de concreto para a preservação dos recursos naturais”, completou o presidente da Associação dos Plantadores de Cana da Paraíba (Asplan), José Inácio.
O diretor-presidente da Companhia de Água e Esgotos da Paraíba (Cagepa), Marcos Vinícius, será um dos palestrantes do simpósio nesta quinta-feira (23). Na cerimônia de abertura, nesta quarta-feira, ele destacou o empenho da empresa em garantir o abastecimento para todos os municípios. “Quatro quintos do nosso território estão dentro do semiárido nordestino, o que nos impõe ter que transportar água de lugares cada vez mais distantes. Estamos fazendo isso com investimentos, tecnologia e inovação”, informou.
Nesta quinta-feira a programação do simpósio terá as apresentações: Plano Estadual de Recursos Hídricos; Saneamento Básico: Distribuição, coleta e tratamento de esgotos – universalização; Acelerando Mudanças – Seja a mudança que você quer ver no mundo (ONU). E no dia seguinte serão abordados os temas: A importância dos comitês de bacias hidrográficas no Sistema Nacional de Gerenciamento de Recursos Hídricos; Os meios de comunicação e divulgação no Sistema de Gerenciamento dos Recursos Hídricos.
A exposição dos trabalhos inscritos também está programada para a quinta-feira. As apresentações serão divididas em grupos temáticos: Água e Gestão; Águas Subterrâneas e Hidrogeologia; Educação e Ensino em Recursos Hídricos; Gestão de Reservatórios e Usos Múltiplos; Integração: Lei de Recursos Hídricos e Lei de Saneamento; Planejamento e Gestão de Recursos Hídricos; Proteção de Mananciais e Recuperação Ambiental de Bacias Hidrográficas; Segurança e Rompimento de Barragens; Educação ambiental; Sociedade e os Recursos Hídricos; Qualidade da Água; Inovação Tecnológica em Sistemas Ambientais.
